Our adventures across the Northern Rivers region and Byron Bay hinterland have been nothing short of gin-credible! 🍸✨ We set out to uncover the best local products to bring to you, and what a journey it’s been.
Our first stop was Winding Road Distilling Co. in Tintenbar, where we met Mark, the mastermind behind the exceptional River House Dry Gin and 50 Mile Coffee Liqueur. Hearing his story and tasting his passion for craft spirits was inspiring.
Next, we headed to the hills behind Byron Bay to meet Rebecca at Zentveld’s Coffee, a pioneer in Australian-grown coffee. From her family’s legacy starting in 1987 to her journey as one of the country’s first female coffee roasters, her Byron Blend Coffee Beans blew us away with their nutty, chocolatey richness.
We couldn’t leave without visiting Duck Creek Macadamias in Newrybar. Chris welcomed us to their historic farm, where they’ve been showcasing Australia’s finest macadamias for over 30 years. Their Milk Chocolate Macadamias are a sweet, buttery indulgence that perfectly complements any gin cocktail.
Along the way, we walked the Lennox Point to Boulder Beach track, savored a seafood basket on the beach, and cooled off with a dip at Killen Falls. Every step of the journey was a celebration of the incredible local flavors and stories this region has to offer.
